Biography
Seb is a dynamic artist whose career spans diverse musical landscapes, from his early days with UK band Munkster to his current role as the guitarist for Captain and contributor to the side project Misdirectors.
His journey as a solo artist began with the release of the Tigers EP in 2017, marking the start of an exciting chapter in his creative evolution. His latest record, a follow-up to Tigers, is a deeply personal and collaborative work that reflects years of creativity, including the unique challenges and inspirations of the lockdown period. Influenced by iconic artists such as Elliott Smith, Damien Rice, and Tom Petty, Seb’s music is a heartfelt blend of introspective lyricism and captivating melodies.
Seb’s musical foundation is rooted in his studies at the London College of Music, a testament to his commitment and passion for his craft. This has positioned him at the heart of a vibrant network of collaborators and friends, many of whom have contributed to his recent work. The record features incredible musicians like Paul Stewart and Ciaran Jeremiah (The Feeling), Iain Hornal (10CC and ELO), Alex Yeoman (Captain), Alex Richards (Mohair), as well as Sinead Quinn, Hope Winter, and Stuart Wilkinson. This combination of talent and camaraderie creates a unique and special energy in Seb’s music.
With extensive live experience, Seb has performed in various formats—from intimate solo sets to stripped-down folk arrangements and full-throttle rock performances. In 2023, he opened for Nik Kershaw on his Germany and UK tour dates and has shared the stage with legends such as Ash, Ocean Colour Scene, Dr. Feelgood, Biffy Clyro, and Damien Rice.
Seb’s ability to adapt and excel across genres and settings underscores his artistry, making him a standout performer and songwriter in today’s music scene.
